The Quinta do Melro is located in the Alfaiates county and borders the lake and river Janadão. The purpose of this farm is to protect the original oak tree forests and replant the land previously dedicated to intensive farming with walnut trees. The headquarters of SIAPO are located here. Cows are raised in a free-range environment (happy cows!) to enable an integrated production process and keep the forests and meadows clean.

The aim of this farm is to protect centuries-old chestnut trees, plant new, plague-resistant trees. There are many old stone houses that we plan to restore, some of which are over 300 years old.
